About Me

Hello, my name is Jacob Smedley, I am a senior studying broadcast journalism at Temple University's Lew Klein College for Media and Communication.

From a young age, I fell in love with sports reporters and broadcasting. At Temple, I have experience with tasks in front of and behind the camera.

Check out my work for the Edenton Steamers as the 2023 Broadcaster of the Year for the Premier Collegiate League, Temple's own sports television show OwlSports Update, written work published in the Temple News, and my broadcasts for Temple's student-run radio station WHIP.
